Thought For The Day

I wish life was more like knitting.  When you knit, if you make a mistake you can fix it and no one is any the wiser for it.  If you get halfway through a pattern and decide you don't like where it's going all you have to do is rip it out and use the yarn for something else.  Life could take lessons from knitting.

  1. Some life mistakes can be fixed, but not many and there is always a consequence.

  3. We would not be who we are except for our mistakes. They can be fixed but there is always a tiny flaw to reflect the errors:-)

    1. I learned and used a lot of cuss words while knitting...but I persevered and now I only use half of them lol.

  5. I really liked 'EC's' comment ... "I wish life came with an instruction booklet too."

We do all learn from life's experience and we do our best to pass on our knowledge to younger family members ... which sometimes they heed and sometimes they don't !

I'm sure my dear parents said the same thing ...

    All the best Jan

    1. You can't pass on lessons learned...we all have to do it the hard way.

  6. In agreement with both you and EC - and I would have found a set of parenting instructions most welcome as well ...

  7. Mistakes are lessons learned the hard way. I have done the hard way, now I want easy, but my threads are in knots.
